Carr's Table Crackers with Cracked Black Pepper. Biscuits of Distinction: Carr's table water in its original form first appeared in late 19th century ships as a refinement of the biscuit. Water Instead Of Fat is used to mix the dry ingredients in order to keep the cookies fresh on the Voyages long. Carr's Cabin Cookies with their delicate, crunchy texture proved very popular with sailors. Established 1908: Word soon spread to all ports and inevitably, in 1908, these cookies were made available to landlubbers also at the Carr water form table. Baked still today in the proud tradition established by Jonathan Dogson Carr.
